StreetCode Academy

StreetCode Academy is a nonprofit based in East Palo Alto, founded in 2016 and dedicated to closing the technology opportunity gap for under-represented communities in Silicon Valley and beyond.

The organization offers free courses in coding, design, entrepreneurship, and digital literacy to students starting as young as 4 years old, and also supports adult learners and families through programs that foster access, skills, and the mindset for success in tech and business.

During multiple sessions, I worked directly with StreetCode teams and supported founders and students as they clarified business ideas, refined models, and began their entrepreneurial journeys. I helped them translate their vision into concrete plans and connect with resources they might otherwise lack.

StreetCode Academy goes beyond classrooms. During the COVID-19 pandemic they expanded their remote-learning offerings, provided laptops to hundreds of students and families, and delivered thousands of hours of free tech education. In 2021 the organization was honored as “Nonprofit of the Year” in its district for its impact and commitment to bridging the digital divide.

Supporting StreetCode aligns deeply with my mission: I believe opportunity should be broadly accessible. Helping young people and communities that are often left out gain real access to technology, education, and entrepreneurship is one of the most powerful ways to build equity, unlock potential, and foster a more inclusive innovation ecosystem.
