VetCon: Military Veteran Entrepreneur Conference

In 2017, the military veteran entrepreneur community looked very different. There were far fewer organizations, fewer convenings, and limited coordination compared to today. As we traveled the country meeting founders, investors, and transitioning service members, it became clear that veterans needed a space that reflected the modern entrepreneurial landscape and helped them thrive in emerging technology markets.

From that insight, VetCon was created. Alongside my partners Ian Faison and William Tresseder, we launched the first conference of its kind, bringing military veteran entrepreneurs from across the United States to the San Francisco Bay Area. The inaugural event welcomed more than two hundred fifty attendees, along with an impressive lineup of speakers, sponsors, and leaders representing the full spectrum of the veteran innovation ecosystem.

Participants included investors, founders, subject matter experts, service providers, and veterans exploring their entry into the technology industry. VetCon became a catalyst for connection, education, and opportunity within a rapidly growing community.

I continue to champion the VetCon ethos and remain a committed supporter of military veteran entrepreneurs at every stage. Whenever veterans are building early stage companies or stepping into the entrepreneurial world, I aim to help, encourage, and connect them in any way I can.
